World of Warcraft BABY TOYS??!!

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I was watching Nickelodian earlier today, and a commercial for "World of Warcraft Toddler Blocks" comes on. My jaw dropped to the floor. It's some lame kiddy announcer yelling "oh no death wing is gonna destroy stormwind!" and you see a 5 year old swinging around a death wing made out of toddler blocks. Not even legos, it's called "Mega Blocks", which I played with as a toddler-- they're big blocks that are too big for babies to put in their mouth and choke on.

What happened to this wow gold game? It used to have a kind of edgy image associated with it, associated with the 40 man raids back in vanilla. When you heard of Naxxaramas you were scared and barely anyone even saw it, and seeing Ragnaros was a big deal.. you had to be hardcore to play at the highest level. It's just been slowly rolling downhill though to becoming a giant kiddy game, and now I see a childish commercial selling World of Warcraft tinker toys to babies!?? WHAT!!?? It shows you the audience Blizzard is going for now.

Now if I go out in public wearing a World of Warcraft shirt what do you think girls are going to say? In the past, yeah it might have been kind of nerdy, but there was a hardcore kind of image associated with wearing a World of Warcraft shirt.. like, wow, that guy probably plays at a high level. And a girl could see you wearing a shirt with a dragon on it and think you're kind of a nerd but then she asks you about it and you explain about the high level of skill it takes to play at the top level. Now a girl sees you wearing a World of Warcraft shirt, she'll be like "hey, that's that thing my 5 year old brother plays with. The little toddler blocks. Why are you wearing that?"

Then worse yet you go into the game and it's Barney the dinosaur. It's literally become like this Barney the dinosaur game I had when I was 3 for the Sega Genesis, where if you put the controller down and didn't do anything the game played / beat itself. That's what WoW is now. You log on and click a button and the game plays itself. I can literally que DPS in a raid finder, put myself on follow on a random person, and sit there while the game plays itself like the Barney game, taking me through the raid and handing me gear. Pathetic.

And I know people will tell me "if you don't like, don't play it!!" Yeah, that's just great. Tell ME not to play it, the game I used to love. Someone who has played for nearly a decade and given a lot of money to this game. I don't want to not play it, I want it to get better. I want to turn on the TV and not see commercials for baby toys about WoW gold.

It was supposed to get cool again with Cataclysm, but they just couldn't stick to their guns and gave in to all the whiny babies. OMG I can't play my class so you have to make it so I can just press any buttons and win. The sad thing was it wasn't even that hard. You learn a simple rotation, keybind a few spells, learn a stat priority and you can play at a decent level. But that was too much to ask for. Wahh I have a life outside of this game, I can't take 10 minutes to learn a spell rotation or gem my gear, I just want to click random buttons and win and play with my death wing diapers and pacifier and baby toys. Pathetic. Just straight pathetic.
